The Second Ingredient For Success:

2.
"A Plan"

A plan is the method or means of action.

If you don't have a plan written down so you can look at it everyday, you don't have a vehicle to carry you to your "wished destination".

You noticed I said "wish destination" because without a plan you are only wishing you could get somewhere. A plan will be the vehicle to carry you to your desired destination.

Without a goal, you don't know where to go or how to get there. A goal should be your motivational vehicle that makes you anxious to get up in the morning and get started on your journey.

If your goals don't motivate you, you need to redo your goals. You may have them set so low that you can't get excited about reaching it or you may have set them so high that you don't believe you can reach it.

If you look at your goals and think you can wait until after Christmas before you start working toward succeeding, you have set them too low. If you look at your goals and think, there is no way you can ever reach your goal, you have set it to high.

Some people will tell you to set your goals high and if you don't reach them, it's OK. You will know you tried. My question is, where is the payoff?

I believe setting your goal so you believe you can reach it will cause you to work everyday at reaching your goal. Reaching a goal is a time of Happiness, Jubilation and Celebration. It's not time to quit. After celebrating for an evening, you set new goals for yourself.

If you don't think setting goals are necessary look at where your business is and think about where you would like for it to have been.

How much did your business grow in the last 12 months. Don't give yourself the old excuse, "I was busy studying and learning.

That is where planning comes in. After you know where you want to go, then you plan the trip.

With any good plan there is time reserved for learning. There is time reserved for working and there is time reserved for relaxing.
Everything is involved in a good plan. Nothing is left to chance except some emergency.

Below are some of the things your plan will involve.

There are several things you will need to include into your plan.

1. What product or service are going to promote?

2. How are you going to promote your product?

3. What is the best method of promoting?

4. How much will you charge for your product?

5. How will you deliver your product?

6. How will you collect for your product?

7. Where will you get other products to sell?

None of the above are set in stone. You will be making changes in your plan and thats OK. You will test each part of your plan and change it for the better.

The part of a plan that should be written in ink is your Goal. After you have decided on your goal and weighed every decision, knowing it is a realistic goal, Set it in Stone!

Look at your goal each night before you go to bed, check your plans for tomorrow.

Your subconscious mind is a marvelous thing. It keeps working when you're asleep. Matter of fact, your subconscious mind works better when your conscious mind is resting.
Never disregard any idea you may have in the morning after a good nights sleep.

When you get up, look at your goals and recheck your plan. You may need to change a part of your plan. That is OK. Make the necessary change and go to work following your plan to your desired destination.

Ok, add the above ingredient into your mix and stir real good. Get all the lumps out and we will add the third ingredient in the next session.

Hope your mix is beginning to smell and look better.
